Clinnesha Sibley

I am Clinnesha Sibley, an award-winning writer, educator, and community advocate from McComb, Mississippi, and my work uplifts Black women, southerners, and Civil Rights legacies. With an MFA in Playwriting and a dynamic career spanning universities, nonprofits, and public schools, I bring bold, authentic narratives to stages and classrooms nationwide. My plays and essays have earned national recognition, from the Apollo Theater to Penumbra Theater and beyond.

As Executive-Artistic Director of the Southwest Mississippi Multiplex for Early Innovative Intervention Studies (SMMEIIS) and owner of The Creative Place, I am building bridges between the arts, education, and social impact. I live in McComb with my husband, Keith, and our three children.
