Cultural STEWARD

Lorna-lei Sua'ava

I am Lorna-lei Sua’ava, a proud Sāmoan woman, born in Long Beach, California, and raised in Palmer, Alaska. I recently earned a Master’s in Neuropsychology from the University of Arizona and hold a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Psychology from Southern Virginia University. Currently, I am enrolled in the PhD Indigenous Studies program at the University of Fairbanks.

Deeply rooted in culture and community, I am passionate about leadership and creating spaces where Pasifika youth can thrive—not only in their career paths, but also in their cultural traditions and native languages. As a young leader raised in the diaspora, I am committed to helping Pasifika youth and young adults reconnect with their identity, build confidence, and step boldly into their future.
