Our goal is to establish a space at Muscatine Community College where students can engage in leadership development and community involvement by revitalizing the collegiate LULAC (League of Latin American Citizens). We aim to recruit additional LULAC members to foster a partnership with The Flickinger Learning Center, a local non-profit in need of mentoring support for young children and assistance with translating information for their families. The Flickinger Learning Center believes this collaboration will make an impact on the children they serve, as they will relate more to mentors with similar cultural backgrounds.
